Two join Hanson's Orlando office
ORLANDO, Fla. - D. Brent Sauser, R.A., AIA, LEED, and Tracey A. Whaley, P.E., FPE, have joined Hanson Professional Services Inc. in the firm's Orlando, Fla., office.
Sauser joins Hanson as a senior architect. He has served as an architectural project manager for various projects, including industrial facilities, retail buildings, federal and state government facilities, video teleconferencing rooms, corporate headquarters, domestic and foreign military installations and medical and research facilities. His experience also includes serving as an architect for the following projects: fast-track development of six United States Embassy renovations in the former Soviet Union; design of the 16,500-square-foot Shaw Air Force Base Library in South Carolina; design and construction of a 200,000-square-foot state-of-the-art research and development facility for Western Digital in Rochester, Minn., and architectural planning and design of several Target stores nationwide.
A registered architect in Florida, Minnesota, California and Utah, Sauser also holds registrations with the National Council of Architectural Review Boards and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). He is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from Arizona State University.
Whaley joins Hanson as a senior mechanical engineer. She has more than 18 years of experience
designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial buildings, schools and universities, and government facilities. Her project experience includes designing the heating and cooling systems at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business in Denver, Colo.; designing the mechanical systems for the Northern Plains Agricultural Research Center in Sidney, Mont.; and designing the mechanical systems for the new 72,000-square-foot Base Engineering Maintenance Complex at the Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.
Whaley is a licensed professional engineer and a licensed fire protection engineer. She served as the president of the Rocky Mountain Section of the Society of Woman Engineers in 2005, and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Whaley holds a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Kansas State University.
