Darren Forgy named 2007 Young Engineer of the Year

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Darren Forgy, P.E., PLS, of Hanson Professional Services Inc., was recently named 2007 Young Engineer of the Year by the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers. The annual award is based on educational and collegiate achievements; professional and technical society activities; civic and humanitarian activities; continuing competence; and engineering achievements.

Forgy, of Rochester, graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1997 and joined Hanson in 1998. A professional engineer and professional land surveyor, Forgy is currently the manager of surveys and mapping for Hanson’s Springfield office.
