Two mark service anniversaries at Hanson

Two employees at Hanson Professional Services Inc. are marking service anniversaries (more than 25 years). They are Rodney Huffman, senior engineering technician, 40 years; and Richard Neu, CET, special lab tester, 40 years.

Huffman joined Hanson on Jan. 5, 1967, and is experienced as an office and field engineering technician and draftsman. He has worked on numerous transportation and structural engineering projects, building plans, bridge designs and layouts. During his 40-year career, Huffman has worked on many memorable projects including the Clark Bridge in Alton, Ill.; Rincon Dam in Santo Domingo; and Memorial Stadium at the University of Illinois. He also helped develop a set of standard plans for the Saudi Arabian government.

A certified engineering technician, Neu joined Hanson on Jan. 16, 1967, and has conducted laboratory and field testing of soils, concrete and asphalt as well as construction inspection for many large projects throughout the Midwest. His career highlights include: Duck Creek Power Plant soil testing and construction, Prairie Capital Convention Center construction, Old State Capital reconstruction, Capital City railroad relocation, and Boston Central Artery soil testing. He was also selected to supervise all laboratory testing for the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety's low-level waste sites.
