Reception for Walter E. Hanson's biography scheduled
SPRINGFIELD, Ill.—Hanson Professional Services Inc. will be host to a reception honoring company founder, Walter E. Hanson, and his newly published biography, “From a Kansas Farm to the Engineering Hall of Fame,” written by Janice A. Petterchak. The event is open to the public and scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hanson Professional Services Inc., located at 1525 S. Sixth St. in Springfield.
The book is $25, and pre-signed copies may be purchased that evening. All book sales benefit the Sangamon County Community Foundation, Sangamon County Historical Society and the Brookens Library at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Hanson’s book contains detailed information about his life, education and career. Hanson founded W.E. Hanson and Associates in 1954, an engineering consulting firm based in Springfield, Ill. The firm is now Hanson Professional Services Inc., an award-winning firm with approximately 450 employees, 22 offices nationwide, and a worldwide span of clients.
