McCaskie joins Hanson's St. Louis office

ST. LOUIS—Steve McCaskie, P.E., recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s St. Louis office.

A senior geotechnical engineer, he serves Hanson’s government market. He has more than 30 years of experience in project management, engineering and design of water resource, inland navigation, flood protection and transportation projects. McCaskie’s geotechnical experience includes planning and conducting subsurface explorations; condition surveys; evaluations and assessments; safety inspections; foundation analysis and design; ground improvement; construction monitoring and inspection; and operations and maintenance. He also has specialized skills in earth dam/levee and embankment design, instrumentation, soil-structure interaction and earthquake engineering.

He is a member of various organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers, Society of American Military Engineers, Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, United States Society on Dams, and the Association of State Dam Safety Officials.

McCaskie holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Miami (1977) and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University (1980).
