Four Hanson executives recognized as Patriotic Employers

SPRINGFIELD, Ill.—Sergio “Satch” Pecori, John Coombe, Bob Cusick and Jeff Ball were recently named Patriotic Employers by the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Each individual was cited for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.

Hanson executives were nominated by Major Craig Holan, a senior project manager with Hanson Professional Services Inc. Holan serves in the Headquarters Support Company (HSC), 766th Engineer Battalion Illinois National Guard, and he is preparing for a 12-month deployment to assist with Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Holan states, “Those of us at Hanson who serve in the National Guard and Reserve have been truly blessed with a supportive company that has consistently gone the extra mile to accommodate military duty requirements. Satch Pecori, John Coombe, Bob Cusick and Jeff Ball have been very supportive of me, other Hanson military members, and the armed forces as a whole. Especially during this trying time, I simply could not imagine being deployed without the support and encouragement that Hanson executives have given and continue to give to me and my family.”

Earlier in 2008, the firm received an “Above and Beyond” award from the Illinois Committee for ESGR, recognizing employers who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act in granting leave to their Guard and Reserve employees for military duty.
