Hanson recognized for support of National Guard and Reserves

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Hanson Professional Services Inc. was recently recognized by the Illinois Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves at its annual awards banquet. Hanson received an “Above and Beyond” award, which recognizes employers who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act in granting leave to their Guard and Reserve employees for military duty.

“It is an honor for Hanson to receive an ‘Above and Beyond’ award. I humbly accept this recognition on behalf of the company; however, the real heroes remain the men and women of the National Guard and the Reserve Forces for their service to our country. The Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) group is a Department of Defense organization. It is a staff group within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs (OASD/RA), which is in itself a part of the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
